Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

1 / 2

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

i got no Unborn Val'kyr. So i changed it with Decaying Mawrat and changed the script:

ability(Breath:115)
ability(Creeping Insanity:1760)
ability(Haunt:652)
ability(Black Claw:919) [!enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists]
ability(Flock:581)
change(#1)

Then get yourself an Unborn Val'kyr. :P

That was a helpful comment, but your life will become easier with a Valk.

There are three spots in Grizzly Hills where they spawn, and one is always up, so they're easy to get - 10 minutes max. Either breed will do, though H/H is maybe a bit more useful, and it will be level 22+ when captured, so easy to finish off. They're the third Most Used Pet in strategies on the site, so while it's a good exercise to find substitutes for the Valk, it's a lot easier just to have one handy. https://www.wow-petguide.com/Guide/58/Most_Used_Pets

Followed wowhead post from Alfa: A Cogblade Raptor S/S breed, a Chicken with Flock, a Zandalari Anklerender. Start with Codblade's Exposed Wounds. Your chicken will swap in, use Flock, it will end up dying and your ZA will come in. Use Leap x2/Hunting Party. Actually died after first Hunting Party for me.

Mac wrote on 2018-10-01 22:07:14

Used a team of a Cogblade Raptor, Dusk Spiderling, and Auburn Ringtail, all were faster than 292. Opened with Exposed wounds, then got swapped to Dusk. Used Brittle Webbing and then Spiderling Swarm, followed up with Poison Spit until death. Ringtail swapped in with Tongue Lash until voided, and then Cogblade ended with just Batter, though Exposed Wounds may have helped.

If you have p/s or p/b Twilight Clutch-Sister, then
Crimson Spore -/-/2, 1725 Explode pet, Twilight Clutch-Sister -/-/2
1: Explode(672) > Explode pet
2: Explode(672) > Twilight Clutch-Sister
3: Twilight Meteorite(579)

Another team that worked for me without any rng was

Death Talon Whelpguard (Rare breed destruction) 222 , Unborn Valkyr (Rare balance) 121, Zandalari Anklerender ( Rare power & Speed) 212.

Start off with Death Talon Whelpguard use any ability since the enemy will go first anyways. Valkyr will be swapped in. Use Curse of Doom and then Haunt. Choose Death Talon Whelpguard again and use any ability since enemy will go first and swap it out anyways with your Zandalari Anklerender. Use Black Claw first (you'll go first) and then use Hunting Party.

The damage from hunting party alone will cause the dots already on enemy to do massive damage and you will finish the enemy off.

NOTE: Any pet will work in pet #1's place as long as it doesn't take increased damage from Enemy type. Pet 1 is only used to take damage from Void Gate and be a swap dummy.
