Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Strategy has been updated for SL changes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Ikky X/1/1 + Ji-Kun Hatchling X/2/1 + any pet with less than 1465 HP

Ikky- Black Claw
Ji-Kun Hatchling- Acid Goo -> Flock

If Snooz is still alive, finish with whatever.

Paulos wrote on 2017-09-06 21:01:15

Has anyone got close to beating this with 3 aquatic pets yet ?

It heals so fast and as there don't seem to be any aquatic pets with a healing reduction debuff and you can't stun it due it being a critter, it's really hard to out damage the heals.

The best i've come up with is using 3 Ghostshell crabs. Bubble blocks a full set of flank and the following void gate and spirit claws does high damage... but as Spirit Claws only has an 80% hit chance, it's very RNG. With this strategy you need to get lucky enough not to miss, hope you get at least a couple of crits, and even then you are still relying on flanking strike only hitting twice rather than 3 times and that most or all of those hits aren't crits..

I've also tried using 1 Golden Civet because screech slows the enemy pet by 25% which removes the chance of Snozz getting the extra proc on flank. Golden civet also has bite which is a strong attack against critters but it doesn't hit as hard as a ghostshell crab's Claw and so it just makes it harder to out damage Snozz's Buried treasure heal.

I'm thinking emperor crab might be an option as Snap is a high damage attack against critters and is 100% hit chance unlike the 80% chance on the Ghostshell Crabs Spirit Claws.. but as you don't have bubble you end up getting your pet switched out by void gate and lose a turn due to slow pet speed.

I've been trying for about an hour now and the closest i've got was 350 ish hp remainign on Snozz. Normally I get it down to about 600 hp and then it heals back up to about 1.1k. Then I might get it down to 400-500 hp again before it heals back up to 900-1k and all my pets die.

Paulos wrote on 2017-09-06 21:39:13

Lols... got him to 90 hp after about 2 hours of tries with 3x ghost shell crabs but then ofc spirit claws missed, he healed back up to 900 hp and then he killed my remaining pets.

I've learned spirit spikes is very effective against flanking strike but it shouldn't be used if it prevents you getting bubble up in time to block void gate.

Best try was 33 hp... Hopefully someone comes up with a more reliable strategy.

Paulos wrote on 2017-09-07 12:04:23

OK after over 3 hours of tries I managed to beat this guy using 3x ghostshell crabs all using Spirit Claws, Bubble and Spirit spikes for the Aquatic Assault achievement.

Turn 1 pass
Turn 2 Spirit claws
Turn 3 bubble

From then on you basically want to get Spirit claws up whenever you can against Snozz's flank attack (it actually works better for you if flank hits 3 times rather than just 2 as this causes Spirit Spikes to hit Snozz 1 extra time), use bubble on cooldown and fill in the other turns with spirit claws.

There is a ton of RNG though... If you miss more than 1 Spirit Claws or use Spirit Spikes against anything other than flank, then you probably aren't going to have enough damage to beat Snozz's healing.
