Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

This worked flawlessly for me. I used a pair of lvl 23 pets and a P/P Dream Whelpling and all three bees died "Horrible Deaths". lol

Though I recall this used to work lovely, today my p/p and p/s Dream Whelping both died early. Emerald Whelping in slot 3 went just fine. (Made a bit annoying with that guard breathing down my neck everytime. lol)

fwiw: I ended up using Emerald Whelping (H/S) like you mentioned; putting lvl1 pet in slot 1 (will only 1 hit once for 140) and 3-5+ in slot 2 because when Bumble is webbed he can hit twice. Worked 2 times in a row for me. Thanks for tip!

This strat still works in SL (edited)

With BfA experience being nerfed, there's no real point in leveling strats anymore. That said, if you want to make this a double leveling strat here, you need to at least Pass on round 1, then do the swap to the next pet, and then the swap to the Dream Whelp. I've noted that the script on the strat does this order correctly, and as such I'll be correcting the wording of the strat.

Damage for slot 1 level pet:

Aquatic, Reg Damage: 210
Aquatic Crit: 315 (ish)
Non-Aquatic, Reg Damage: 140
Non-Aquatic Crit: 210

Damage for slot 2 level pet:

Aquatic, Reg Damage: 210 per Slicing Wind, potential of 630 damage
Aquatic, Crit: 315 (ish) for a Slicing Wind Crit, potential for 945 damage (though unlikely)
Non-Aquatic, Reg Damage: 140 per Slicing Wind, potential of 420 damage
Non-Aquatic, Crit: 210 per Slicing Wind, potential of 630 damage (though unlikely)

You have to keep in mind for slot #2, that the number of Slicing Wind hits is not dependent on a pet's speed. It's a chance for 1-3 no matter if they're faster or slower. Either way, you'll likely not want level 1s for either slot, with slot #2 potentially needing quite a bit more health.

Also, if you haven't managed to get your Dream Whelpling from The Emerald Nightmare yet, the Emerald Whelpling also has the same two moves, as well as more health.

Although we are not getting much XP I always look for the leveling strats ;)

I'm the same. I'll be doing these pet battles anyway so why not do some minor leveling at the same time?

Alayea

Not that it really matters anymore due to 8.1 nerfing the amount of pet XP from world quests, but I don't recommend using a carry pet below level 3.

I put in my two LVL 1 pets like it said, but the first one did not get any EXP. What did I do wrong?

You have to keep the first pet for one round or else it won't count. Or you can just swap it in later on a round where the bee doesn't do much damage.

TD Script:

change(#2) [!self(#2).played]
change(#3) [self(#2).played & !self(#3).played]
use(Emerald Presence:597) [!self(#3).aura(Emerald Presence).exists]
use(Emerald Dream:598)
standby

Notes:
1) Bumble B.'s Cocoon Strike inflicts 140 damage and can crit, killing your second battle pet.
2) Only the second battle pet will get any experience. (Maybe this is obvious to others, but wasn't for me.)

I don't understand your #2 note. Why would that be that way? It's not on Yon or Ashlei.

If you swap out a carry pet in round 1 it will get no xp. That has always been the case.
