Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Strat works well, script swaps Forboding Curse and Scorched Earth, and stops after Call Lightning...here's an updated version:

standby [round~1,2,4]
change(#2) [enemy.aura(Forboding Curse:1067).exists]
use(Blistering Cold:786)
use(Forboding Curse:1068)
use(Scorched Earth:172)
use(Call Lightning:204)
use(Flyby:515)
use(Wild Winds:514) (edited)

doledippers wrote on 2023-03-24 13:25:55

this worked with a 1*2 P/S Stormwrath in place of the tiny twister. great strat!

Alayea

wrote on 2022-10-31 05:09:31

Followed others' suggestion about using Crazy Carrot's Acid Rain instead of passing on the second round, and proceeded with the rest of the strategy as normal. I lucked out on the RNG with the enemy's Flank ability, enabling the Call Lightning weather effects to finish Snozz .

ifloops wrote on 2022-05-19 14:48:45

This worked just fine even with Ominous getting hit 3 times. You don't bring him back, so it doesn't matter.

Essere wrote on 2021-01-20 10:51:02

Call lightning killed the enemy pet. Worked very well for me. Thanks!

Also for me. In second try, where Crazy carrot didn't die too soon and Ominous Flame didn't take too much damage.

Didn't get to cast slicing wind as my twister got killed - but snozz died before I had to do anything further anyway, so all good :)

Ramian wrote on 2020-11-10 04:48:54

Used Motlen Corgi instead of Tiny twister.
Strategy kept same except used ironbark at step 2 instead of pass.
Was also able to cast spiritfire before ominos got swapped for Corgi.
only had to use Puppies of flame ...puppy adds and Chill debuffs killed him.

Bruman#1853

wrote on 2020-10-25 20:46:57

Worked first time in SL for me. My Ominous Flame never came back in for the third round - the boss died right before he was about to, so Flame getting hit 3 times didn't matter in this case.

wrote on 2020-09-14 01:46:14

Why doesn't this have the RNG tag

Kathleene

wrote on 2018-04-10 01:06:29

I tried this strategy 5 or 6 times, and Snozz hit my Ominous Flame three times every battle, leaving him at 560. Tried to complete the battles anyway, but always came up just a little short. Where Crazy Carrot is supposed to Pass, I tried using Jab a couple of times. No difference. I then read the tip from Tranmere Fan, posted below, about using Acid Rain instead of the Pass. I tried that and Flame only got hit twice and lived long enough to win the battle. Now, this may be entirely a coincidence between my use of Rain and the fewer hits or it may not. The only way to make any really definitive determination would be to do an insane number of battles testing it with and without Acid Rain. For myself, I'm well satisfied with finally having won, and I am not interested in more Elemental vs. Snozz battles, thank you very much. Thanks for the strategy, sis4dark; for the tip, Tranmere Fan; and, as always, for the great website, XuFu.

katiefraggle

wrote on 2018-04-11 19:16:17

I am not even sure why using the acid rain makes a difference there instead of passing round 2 - but it does - absolutely - in 5 tests with that no fails. so crazy carrots first part would be

Turn 2: Acid Rain
Turn 3: Blistering Cold

Proceed as normal.

Ari wrote on 2018-05-14 17:53:14

It makes a difference, because 'Blistering Cold' lasts for 4 rounds instead of 3 because of 'Acid Rain'!

Xweaz

wrote on 2018-05-29 07:59:22

Still either RNG or breed-dependent. Same situation with the 560 but I tried eleven times; the HP and actual hits are identical each time. Flame dies in the last round while killing Snozz. No variation at all. The Acid Rain does it get that far but I can't change the outcome.

Kedi

I should have read this earlier. However, I did get it to work as written after 11 tries.

Lathspell wrote on 2018-07-06 20:16:23

Read this after getting frustrated with all the alts and repeats. Acid Rain method worked on first go.

Palisis wrote on 2019-07-17 11:33:48

Glorfindel wrote on 2019-08-03 05:16:20

I used a Zephyrian Prince instead of Tiny Twister, Ominous Flame needs to be lower health than him so he can get swapped in. Then I used Call Lightning and Slicing Winds twice and he was already dead. Didn't need to get Ominous in again.

Xezia

wrote on 2020-03-28 14:30:00

This was perfect. Couldn't kill it with original strategy. My Tiny Twister was PB breed. Probably need an HS breed.

Ravij

Tranmere Fan wrote on 2017-10-13 07:50:21

Used strat 1 but did not pass instead did a rain, might be the difference between good and bad RNG.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-11-01 07:15:29

This works but I did a rain rather than pass and it worked first try. I would change the published strategy to this. Doesn't change and could be the difference in success!

Shiny#1629

wrote on 2018-03-04 20:06:43

I did ironbarks on the pass steps because my carrot kept dying and that kept it alive to swap in at the right moment.

Eros wrote on 2019-07-28 14:51:26

Used Jab instead of pass at round 2, on round 9 after Lightning i was still faster then Snozz so i spam Slicing Wind and killed him without last swap to Ominous Flame :) (Jab is in my opinion better then Rain cause rain reduce debuff timers by 1 round - so it can affect Blistering Cold too.

Tyraelos

wrote on 2019-01-14 09:23:34

Tiny Twister I think has to be H/S or something. My P/B cannot get slicing wind in before it dies and I'm ending the fight with him getting a cast off on my Ominous Flame, always critting for 6-800+. To get this to work, I subbed in my Zeph Prince, which has the same moveset but is P/S build.

For the last swap, instead of the Prince, Ominous Flame got subbed back in, I used 2 Spirit Bolts (and then he was killed). Then Prince comes in and I Thunderbolt. He gets a gate off but it doesn't kill Prince. Tried an extra time and it seems to work.

Snozz vs. Elementals

Pets:
Cinder Kitten 212 (B/B)
Crazy Carrot 111 (P/S)
Ominous Flame 222 (P/S)

Turn 1: Pass
Turn 2: Pass
Turn 3: Blistering Cold
Turn 4: Pass
Turn 5: Scorched Earth
Turn 6: Forboding Curse
Turn 7: Spitfire Bolt

It's certainly RNG-dependant, however it should work with not too many tries.

I tried several strategies using pets that I had and none of them worked. I tried for ages to get an Ominous Flame when MOP was current without luck. If I couldn't get one when I was playing on timeless isle every day then I wasn't going to bother now. Eventually I caved and shelled out tens of thousands of gold for an Ominous Flame and levelled it. That worked.

I think it's absolutely ludicrous that a pet needed for a meta achievement can only be beaten using pets that are either hard to get and/or expensive to get. Even moreso when several of the pet families for Snozz can only be beaten with rare/expensive pets. Stupid call on Blizzard's part.

Askania

wrote on 2018-01-04 01:16:31

It's why I buy pets off AH when they're a rare drop during the expansion they belong to. Generally there's a lot of them at that time, and they aren't quite as expensive as later expacs. Apart from which people are taking advantage at present because of the need of these pets.

Maaisha wrote on 2017-09-18 18:33:11

OMG Thank you for this, I could NOT get the original strat to work since my flame always dropped too low.

TheEducator#11115

wrote on 2017-12-23 01:15:25

I tried this without success. My tainted waveling had 289 speed and he never lived long enough to do more than one hit.

Wreathy wrote on 2017-12-31 22:35:45

I too couldn't get more than one hit in from the tainted waveling - so I did Acidic Goo instead of Spit. The 25% increase in damage taken took care of it. Success!

Worked second time (had to restart due to OF's health issues), but then Ominous Flame didn't even get to cast Scorched Earth as the closing move. Forced in, but a turn later than expected, and then DoT did its job.

1st strat feels so good when you get the right RNG!

Darielyia wrote on 2017-10-09 10:28:59

Can't get this strat to work at all, my ominous flame always goes down too much in health. He always ends up with 560.

abi wrote on 2017-11-05 18:49:00

Mine did that, over and over, but I persisted with this strat after trying others that didn't get close. Eventually came a round where I didn't dip below 561 - I think just rng, snozz didn't crit or whatever, and I got it. So I think this strat is worth persisting with.

Hollo wrote on 2017-10-09 11:57:45

I didn't have a fast enough Tiny Twister so I ended up using Droplet of Y'Shaarj (1-2-x) instead, Acidic Goo then Expunge did the trick. Maybe worth noting that I used Acid Rain in T2, it's possible that Droplet wouldn't have survived without this move.

Rewritten:
Turn 1 Pass - your Crazy Carrot is forced in
Turn 2 Pass
Turn 3 Blistering Cold
Turn 4 Pass - your Ominous Flame is forced in
Turn 5 Scorched Earth
If Ominous flame gets hit 3 times or health drops below 561 start over
Turn 6 Forboding Curse
Turn 7 Swap to Crazy Carrot - Tiny Twister is forced in
Turn 8 Call Lightning
Turn 9 Slicing Winds - Ominous Flame is forced in
Turn 10 Scorched Earth

Finally got ahold of Ominous Flame after an hour camping the cave at TI and levelled my HS Tiny Twister...and this worked first try. :P tysm!

This is the one that did the trick!

Worked first time. Thanks!

Xna - Doomhammer wrote on 2017-09-18 13:16:30

Worked 1st time (just) even though I couldn't get Turn 9 in as twister died.

Wavering wrote on 2017-09-18 20:40:49

Worked with a H/P Tiny Twister for me. Same deal as Xna, but still worked out ok. TD script for this strat:

standby [round=1]
standby [round=2]
standby [round=4]
quit [self(Crazy Carrot:1396).dead & round=5]
quit [self(Ominous Flame:1335).hp<561 & round=6]

ability(Blistering Cold:786)
ability(Scorched Earth:172)
change(Crazy Carrot:1396) [enemy(Snozz:2102).aura(Forboding Curse:1067).exists]
ability(Forboding Curse:1068)
ability(Call Lightning:204)
ability(Slicing Wind:420)

THANK YOU!!!

Cloudia wrote on 2017-09-28 03:39:58

Worked as well!
Just a note about my Tiny Twister with its breed H/H :) It wasn't fast enough even with the Forboding Curse and died before it could use Slicing Wind and my Ominous Flame wasn't really forced in. But! Forboding Curse again to keep speed and one Spitirfire bolt finished the job.

Thank you! I changed the strategy to this :-)

Etsunari wrote on 2017-09-08 12:09:25

Improvements to the main strat with less RNG.

- Works better with Scorched Earth on 5 and Forboding Curse on 6.
- After Call Lightining (Turn 8), don't let the Tiny Twister die (we need him for next turn), swap to the Carrot (turn 9).
(turn 10) Snozz kill the Carot. Bring Tiny. Snozz kill Tiny (turn 11) and the Flame still have his burst of speed. Just Scorched Earth (turn 12).

jaye wrote on 2017-09-10 15:14:20

that doesn't work. Snozz does his OP heal and all the debuffs on him are off...honestly i have no idea how you guys are getting this strat to work. None of my pets survive long enough to outlast this jackass. Also, why does it say he heals for 25 Percent of his HP but he keeps healing for 30+? this seems broken

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-09 17:13:40

Tiny Twister H/S didn't die, did a slicing wind to finish the fight instead

Tora wrote on 2017-09-08 14:23:23

I changed T7 to refreshing Forboding Curse instead of Passing, worked better to make sure that curse was present for the last round of Blistering Cold, which finished him off.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-09 11:41:03

I did that too and it was much less rng on if the twister would die at the right time.

Thank you for this strat. Got it 3rd try!

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-08 09:58:03

might want to let it be known that ur tiny twister may not die on round 8 nor go 1st on round 8 depending on breed ... and if this doesn't play exact that he dies on round 8 u loose rly not a great strat ive tried about 10ish times now and it hasn't worked once nor has it even come close to working as it says it works also wanna note that my ominous flame has speed on him during round 7 soo i always tried to get an extra hit off (170ish damage average) and even with this extra hit it doesn't play correctly

Jess wrote on 2017-09-08 10:28:54

It's a frustrating fight - but I did get it to work. It took about 5 tries. I did use the extra hit in round 4 that you suggested.
